About Me

Dick Beardsley: I am a motivational/inspirational speaker. I also speak about addiction and recovery and not giving up and having hope. I also speak about running and how to set goals. I have been invited as the keynote speaker at conferences, fundraisers, banquets, association meetings, sales meetings, schools, treatment centers, prisons, workshops and seminars. I speak to thousands of corporate leaders, sports enthusiasts, and students, ranging from grade school through college years. I've spoken to countless number of groups all over the world, ranging in size from 5 people to 15,000 people! I am also an accomplished TV commentator and radio announcer. My candid presentations are about my life, including my record-setting races, my battles with injuries and prescription drug addiction, and my road to recovery. I am the Executive Director of the Dick Beardsley Foundation which was formed to help people afflicted with chemical dependencies. It also enables me and others to travel to schools around our country and speaking to kids about leading healthy active lifestyles chemically free, and also to educate the general public about the terrible disease of chemical dependencies.
